I got this costume for Halloween and it was a mad success! I've spent anywhere from $50-70 on costumes in the past, so this is on the cheaper end of what I've gotten, but the effect was probably one of the best I had. All my friends loved it too and said I should win the costume contest for the Halloween Party I went to. The only thing I would add is that the mermaid dress underneath tends to ride up a bit, and if you're not careful it might make you look like you have a huge gut especially since it can be seen through the fabric by the camera flash. Other than that; amazing costume and whoever came up with the details (right down to the invisible straps and the sailor hat attaching to the mermaid clip) was genius!! I even wore it to two socials I loved it so much!
